The term ‘bar stool’ actually encompasses stools that are manufactured in three different heights. ‘Counter stools’ are designed to sit at counters of a standard height, so can range between 24” and 26” high. ‘Bar stools’ are for counters that are a little higher, like you’d find in a bar. These stools measure around 30” in height. ‘Spectator stools’ are the highest, and are used when extra vision is required (such as for watching TV). Spectator stools are usually between 34” and 36” tall.
